Women's Training and Income Generation Program

Women are at the heart of every family in society. They keep the family together. They can be great organisers.

Women need to be able to support their families. They need opportunities to develop as active participants in their community and be capable of earning income.

The aim of this program is to alleviate or reduce poverty through training programs that give women a skill they can use to generate income on their own or in collaboration with others.

Through this program, we have seen women regain their confidence, self esteem and a sense of hope. They have also inspired others in their community. All this is being achieved through training courses, starting of home businesses, provision of technical supervision, gaining work experience, links to employment, partication in forums and associations that will enhance their linkages with the wider community, etc.

More than 2,000 women have received training and have been able to improve their situation. Below is a video with some of the projects that have formed part of this program.
