Reledev Australia Limited is committed to the safety and well being of all children by supporting the rights of children and acting without hesitation to ensure a child safe environment.
Definition
Child is any human being below the age of 18 unless according to the law applicable to the child,
majority is attained earlier.
Child Protection is an activity or initiative designed to protect children from any form
of harm, particularly arising from child abuse or neglect.
Child Abuse refers to all forms of physical or mental violence, injury or abuse,
maltreatment or exploitation including sexual abuse.
Impact on project partners
Overseas partners implementing AusAID funded projects will provide assurance
that police checks have been done or, where this is not possible, at least a written
statutory declaration is on file to the effect vouchsafing the character of staff members involved in a funded project, where this project involves contact with persons considered
to be children.
Partners implementing AusAID funded projects will have their own Child Protection
policy or adhere to Reledev’s policy.
